Reading Now: Dear Justyce

"An unforgettable tour de force of social-justice and activist literature." —Booklist, starred review

"
A powerful, raw must-read told through the lens of a Black boy ensnared by our broken criminal justice system.” —Kirkus Reviews, starred review

Quan Banks and Justyce McAllister grew up in the same Atlanta neighborhood, but Justyce attends Yale while Quan is behind bars at a youth detention center.  How do two young men from the same neighborhood end up in such different circumstances?   In a series of letters to Justyce, Quan tells the story of decisions that he made and ones that were made for him.

This sequel to Dear Martin is a must read!  If you have not read either, start with Dear Martin.
